Outer Wilds is an open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop. Welcome to the Space Program! You’re the newest recruit of Outer Wilds Ventures, a fledgling space program searching for answers in a strange, constantly evolving solar system. The game was originally released at the end of May 2019 on both Xbox One and PC, where it was an Epic Games Store exclusive. Outer Wilds later made its way to PlayStation 4 in October, but its PC.
You have access to an entire solar system right from the start. And not too long after that, the sun explodes and everything resets. Your job is to piece together information from various ruins left behind by a long-dead civilization all across the solar system.
It won’t take long until, like any good mystery, you have a lot of pieces of information to sort through. They’ll point in several directions, and it might get hard to keep track of where you’re supposed to go next.
