Facebook isn’t just a way to stay in touch with friends – it’s also a place to play games. But did you know you could also play games using Facebook’s Messenger app?
Connect with your favorite people. Keep me signed in.
That’s useful if you haven’t signed up for a Facebook account, but still use Messenger as a free way to message friends. Here's how to play.
Step 1: Open Facebook Messenger

This is a standalone app, completely separate from the standard Facebook app. You’ll need to download it from either the App Store for iOS, or Google Play for Android devices.
It’s free, and lets you send messages to friends. Just like WhatsApp, it sends messages over the internet instead of using your mobile's text allowance, so won’t cost you a penny, as long as you are usng wifi, or have enough data in your monthly allowance.
Step 2: Find the games icon

Open a conversation, and tap the + sign in the bottom left. This gives you more options.
Now tap the games controller icon – it’s the one that says ‘Games’ below it.
Step 3: Get gaming!

You don’t have to start a game within the conversation on Messenger. You can also find them by searching in the search bar, or on your Facebook News Feed (where you can challenge friends within the Messenger app).
