OneCast, the first Xbox One game streaming client for macOS was released last week, finally allowing Mac users to play Xbox One games remotely from their Xbox One console (via 9to5Mac). Be aware that there is no official Xbox controller driver for macOS, so you’ll either have to use a third-party driver or Bluetooth if you have a recent controller.

During our testing, OneCast worked as expected despite some random stuttering, but your experience may vary depending on your Internet connection. The app runs in full screen or windowed mode, and you can choose between four different levels of video quality with support for 1080p streaming. The app also lets you sign in with multiple Xbox profiles and register different Xbox One consoles.

A new application has been created and launched this week that allows Xbox One gamers to stream their content directly to any Mac, enabling users to play from anywhere with access their home network. The new OneCast application is available via both a free 14 day trial or to purchase at a 50 percent discount until April 1st, 2018. Normally priced at $24 the OneCast for Mac license is now available to purchase for just $11.99. The license key allows users to unlock OneCast for Mac for a single user on one or more Mac computers.

OneCast supports streaming in 1080p HD and offers “crisp, smooth gameplay” say it’s creators, who have highly tuned the application to provide “extremely low lag performance” during gameplay. OneCast also allows you to play games on your Mac screen using the original Xbox One wireless controller, connected to your Mac by either USB or Bluetooth.
