Happy investing with solid business strategy!
How to Play: Before you start, you have to quickly enter a name for your company; You could think of something fun and catchy that might one day be a global player in the real world. Your goal is to conquer the business world by buying out all of the other key companies in each of the six U.S. States (levels). Use your computer mouse or touchpad to operate all of the controls. Each State has a “Strategic Business”. In order to purchase that business and complete the level, your first have to earn enough virtual money. In the first level, a detailed tutorial shows you how to work the basic controls.
In each State / Region, there are six different factories that produce different materials that you can purchase – and then sell off at a better price. There’s Fruit, Wheat, Cotton, Timber, Iron and Oil. You must sign a contract with these factories in order to get them to produce materials for you. Once you do, you can buy this material from them by clicking on their icons. Once bought – the material goes into your warehouse. Along the bottom of the screen, the prices of each of the materials goes up and down. When the price turns green, that means you will make a profit – so it’s time to sell that stock. Click on the relevant icon at the bottom of the game screen to sell the goods. Your virtual income level is shown in the top right corner of the game screen. Once you earn enough virtual money to buy the ‘Strategic Business’, Left Click on it to complete the level.
Tip: To get your factories producing goods and materials faster, upgrade them by clicking on the factory, then clicking the Arrow. As the level of the factories gets higher, they produce more in double-quick time. You can upgrade your factories all the way up to level 10.
Note: The English language on the game interface is poor but the concept is very good and educational. If you want to do business internationally in the future, you will have to be able to correspond and deal effectively with people who speak and write in broken English (which is fine as long as everyone understands each other). From that standpoint, playing this game makes good practice.
