Elgato Gaming Game Capture HD60 S with USB 3.0 Type-C review, unboxing, installation tutorial and setup from a Mac's perspective. Works with PC too. Game capture software should put your creativity first. It should empower you to perform, inspire you to create, and equip you with tools to make your content shine. To that end, Game Capture excels. They don’t write the drivers for Mac so you can’t capture the stream directly for use with OBS. In most cases you will be relegated to using the Game Capture HD software with this device. This software works well but, it’s limited. Currently the stable version does not support overlays.
Hello! I'm brand new to Wirecast and still learning the basics. I'm looking for troubleshooting help to get an Elgato Game Capture HD60 capture card to show up in Wirecast. Specs and more details on the issue below:
Computer: Mac Pro 2013, 3.5 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon
OS: High Sierra 10.13.3

Wirecast: Wirecast Pro, version 11.1.1 (brand new download last week)
Camera: Canon HD CMOS Pro
Capture Card: Elgato Game Capture HD60
Does Elgato Work With Mac
Driver: Elgato Game Capture HD version 2.11 (brand new download two days ago)
The Canon is connected into the HD60 via mini-HDMI to regular HDMI cable, and the HD60 is connected to the Mac via mini-USB.
Does Elgato Work On Mac
The camera input shows up great in Elgato Game Capture HD; no problems booting up and no issues disconnecting. But when I open Wirecast and go to add the Elgato as a capture device, it doesn't show up. I've tried opening Wirecast first and then setting up the camera and Elgato, and I've tried setting up camera/Elgato and then Wirecast second. No luck either way.
Elgato Video Capture Software
Any help and advice would be appreciated. I understand historically Elgato doesn't work well with Mac or Wirecast, but I could really use some advice beyond 'Don't use Elgato,' which is what seems to be predominantly the only troubleshooting advice out there.
