Macos Catalina Not Opening Games From Steam Time
Check the game's system requirements. First, double-check that the game or DLC is specifically available for Mac. Even if the game is available for Mac, games may not launch if your machine is just at or below the game's system requirements. Please compare your machine's specs against the game's system requirements on the store page, and note.
- I then downloaded the game and then after that, I tried to play it. When I press the play button it says 'Can't open Paradox Launcher because of a problem'. I have tried updating and restarting my macOS and that didn't work. I found the Launcher on my macOS without using Steam and open it manually and that didn't work either.
- I look on my steam and its as if I need to install the games, but it does not allow me too. But it still has all my achievements and play time. I have tried updating steam and restarting the computer but nothing works.

Installing multiple operating systems to your drive many times leads to problems, but it is a way to run the game. Just make sure to always have good verified working backups of your system because modifying partitions and volumes on the drive can lead to an unbootable system or even data loss. Sometimes in order to remove the extra partition requires completely erasing the drive and reinstalling or restoring from a backup.
If you create another partition then you lose a lot of storage capacity (this doesn't happen if you create another APFS volume alongside Catalina). Partitions and volumes are not the same anymore in macOS.
I used to dual boot many years ago, but dual booting is also annoying having to reboot all the time.
Depending on the game and whether your computer supports USB3 you may want to try installing Mojave to an external USB3 drive and running the game externally. It's possible USB3 could be too slow to run the game well, but may be worth a shot since it is less risky than creating another partition.

Macos Catalina Not Opening Games From Steam Offline
Apple has ended 32-bit support with the release of OS Catalina, meaning many older games purchased may not run on the free OS update.
Moreover, Steam users will also want to hold off on the update, as the Steam client itself is a 32-bit application.
MacGamerHQ has compiled a list of affected games on MacOS, with many games like the LEGO games no longer working in the new OS.
As of this writing even Valve’s first-party games like Team Fortress 2 and Portal, some of the first high profile games to come to Mac, have also been affected by the update.
While the update may seem sudden, users of High Sierra and Mojave will probably have encountered warnings that Apple would make the sheer jump to 64-bit only.
No statement has been issued by Valve or Apple regarding the issue as of this writing.
